Hello Fellow Skateboard Freaks!
Well, it seems like this year's painful winter is firmly near over. Everybody appreciates the arrival of spring - but noone appreciates it as much as us skateboarders! So let us rejoice in this beautiful weather!!
One of my favorite competitions of the year, Top Shop, has come and gone. it feels more like a party than a comp. There's always cool people from all over the midwest to meet and shred with. I skated quite poorly in the comp and was disappointed because I was skating well when I practiced my lines. But, I think I represented my wicked skills and wierd style to their fullest and had a great time anyway! Oh yeah, I'm super hyped --- I landed a kickflip back tail stall on the tallest quarter pipe at 3rd. Booyaa!!!
"Summons the Skate Gods" comp is coming to Ollie on Sunday, May 18. We'll be hosting a skate pro from S-One Skate Helmets to serve as one of the judges. Get your groove on and come skate for some awesome prizes and a super Summons Trophy!!
And- I'm stoked to announce TEAM ONC try-outs on May 21 from the 6-9 sesh. TEAM ONC has a pretty full summer calendar doing off-site demos, comps, parades, camps, etc and we're looking for "a few good men" to take on the road! If you think you got what we're lookin' for, be sure to come in and lay it out for us. Don't forget the date - May 21.
Well, like I mentioned, the wonderful weather is coming. You'll probably be doing a little more street skating, but try to make it to Ollie & Co and skate with me once in a while! I'm waiting to shred with ya.
